Over 90% of new year resolutions are centered around health...exercise, diet, quit smoking , quit drinking, etc etc. Unfortunately, research shows that majority of people are not able to keep their resolutions for longer than 30 days. Where is the lesion? Is it likely that we are not thinking carefully while coming up with a list of resolutions. In fact that is true. Many people fail to keep their resolutions simply because they add too many resolutions to their lists. So it is
important to select may be one or two resolutions at the best and work hard for them. If that is the case, then which health practices will be the best for you? This is the question for today and something that you should ask your doctor.
In general, the best evidence from literature supports that quitting smoking for those who smoke and regular 20-30 minute exercise for everyone are probably the ones that offer the best bank for your buck. As always though it will be important to check with your doctor to see what suits you the best.
